Who

Alejandro Baena And Emma Martínez are a duo of visual artists based in Spain. They are the directors and current producers of the project. They define themselves as rare beings with peculiar personalities and they wish to make their mark and tell stories.

When they were kids and without them even noticing, they were possessed by the passion for storytelling. For Emma, that translated into drawing and crafts. For Alejandro, that meant writing and learning 3D software. They met while being classmates at university where they both studied Animation and they have been collaborating since. During their studies, they participated in various student short film projects both 2D and 3D, such as The Grumpy Ghost (2017), then they started out as professionals working as interns at the international studio that is now known as Skydance Animation Madrid.

Parallel to these events, they started developing their personal project, a CGI animated short film titled Luna, which began in the context of their degree. After four intense years of dedication, the film is still currently in production. Over the course of this four years, more than 60 classmates, students and professionals have participated gifting their experience and knowledge voluntarily, working very hard with the resources they were each one able to give, with passion and willing to learn in the process.

After wandering around the labor market for a few months doing some freelance work for brands and studios like Viva Calavera, Reebok or Meh Producciones, Alejandro and Emma migrated to Gran Canaria to begin their careers as Layout Artist and Visual Development Artist respectively.

Currently, they are developing their careers in animation and have previously worked for Anima Kitchent, making cartoon TV and streaming series for children such as La Familia Telerín, Tito Lizzardo and other unannounced projects. Simultaneously in their leisure time, with a strong work ethic and a lot of will, they continue to work daily to finish the short film production that they dreamt with once upon a time in university.

Alejandro Baena

Alejandro longs for answering certain moral and philosophical questions that have come to define him as an individual through his visual or written narrations. He has a characteristic taste for visual composition and cinematography and he considers himself to be an explorer in that matter, a combination that he materializes in some personal experimental projects or his professional work . His essential goal is to write and/or direct his own projects, in which he tries to put his soul as much as he can into them.

Emma Martínez

Emma is very passionate about art, fashion and music. She possesses a large mental library of artistic and cultural references, especially those related to traditional animation. Therefore, animation is her realm par excellence as it unifies every artform. Her biggest passion is building and designing the characters, worlds and objects that take part in the stories that she is helping in bringing to life, no matter the media, traditional or digital, in which she develops her art skills.
